Electricity Board dissolved
The Ministry of Energy has announced the dissolution of the board of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) with immediate effect.
A statement from the Ministry said a new board has been constituted by President John Evans Atta Mills and will be chaired by Mrs. Perpetual Darfour.
The new Board is expected to be sworn in on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.
“The Ministry takes this opportunity to convey to the old Board the sincere gratitude of His Excellency the President for their contribution toward building ECG into a world class electricity distribution company,” the statement signed by the minister Dr. J. Oteng-Adjei added.
