Minerals Commission to verify "gold" discovery in Elmina
Tests are underway in the Central Region to ascertain if a new resource discovery in Elmina is actually gold as is believed by hundreds of people who are spending sleepless nights to harness.
The people of Elmina continue to hunt for a newly discovered substance they believe is gold. While many keep vigil to harness the substance news of the discovery is fast attracting merchants from around the country to buy the substance.
Fishermen are said to have abandoned their canoes to join those scavenging the wet sand with the hope of making a fortune.
The Minerals Commission however says it is conducting tests to ascertain whether the substance is indeed gold.
Meanwhile officials of the Commission are planning on stopping the hunt since the coast line is being destroyed.
