"Drunk" driver knocks down three in Labadi
Two persons, including a school girl sustained injuries when a Toyota Corolla with registration number, GC 1561-11 knocked them down at Labadi in the early mornings of today.
Eight year old Mary Mensah is currently receiving treatment at the LA General Hospital after she was knocked down by the car on her way to school.
According to eyewitness, the driver of the Toyota Corolla appeared drunk and was attempting to run away after knocking down Mary. In the process he hit another man who was riding a bicycle.
Eyewitnesses say the car in question somersaulted three times before landing on its wheels on the pavements and hit a Green Asia bus which also hit an ash LT bus. The driver of the Toyota Corolla has since been rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. However, the 23 passengers on the Asia bus all escaped unhurt.
