EO Group gives to flood victims
The EO Group ,a leading company in Ghana which was a former partner of the Jubilee Field, has come to the aid of victims affected by the recent devastating floods by providing disaster relief items for distribution by the Ghana Red Cross .
The items worth over 40,000 Ghana Cedis was presented to Mr Joseph Owusu, the General Manager of EO Group to Mr. Samuel Kofi Addo, Secretary General of the Ghana Red Cross. The donated items include Blankets, Mattresses, Rice, Oil and Clothes.
“At the heart of EO Group is the notion of helping those in need,” stated Mr. Joseph Owusu, General Manager of EO Group. “We have come in to assist our brothers and sisters who have been severely affected by the floods and hope that our widow’s mite will help them get back on their feet”
According to Mr. Owusu, the donation represents a continuation of the EO Group’s corporate culture of giving back to the community and also in response to the clarion call by the President John Evans Atta Mills, for an-all-hands-on -deck approach to this national tragedy.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Ghana Red Cross, Mr Samuel Kofi Addo, Acting Secretary General of the Ghana Red Cross thanked the EO Group and promised to ensure that all the items reach its intended beneficiaries. He added that this timely intervention is in line with the humanitarian mandate of the Red Cross Movement which seeks to alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity
The E.O. Group is an oil services company based in Ghana with a stake in the West Cape Three Points block.
