Woyome finally released

Alfred Woyome, the businessman at the centre of the GH¢51.2 million judgement debt saga, has finally been released on bail. He was released on Friday, February 17, 2012.
This follows his ability to meet the reviewed bail conditions set out by a Financial Court in Accra.
His bail was slashed from GH¢54 million with two sureties to be justified to GH¢20 million with three sureties.Woyome had been in custody since February 3, 2012 after he was picked up while driving around 1 p.m. for questioning.
He was remanded on February 6, 2012 and granted bail in the sum of GH¢54 million with two sureties to be justified on February 13, 2012.
Following his inability to meet the bail terms, his lawyers applied for a review of the bail which was eventually slashed to Gh¢ 20 million.
According to sources, Woyome got home around 6 p.m. on Friday to rejoin his family after spending fourteen days custody.
