NDC Primaries fallout; five MPs lose their seats
Five sitting Members of Parliament of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), have lost their bid to represent the party at the 2012 parliamentary elections.
The parliamentary primaries for constituencies in the Greater Accra Region saw MP for Ada; Alex Tettey-Enyo, MP for Sege; Alfred Abayateye and Nii Nortey Dua, incumbent MP for Ledzorkuku losing their seats to Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, Christian Odoteye and Benita Sena Oklitey Dua respectively.
Kwadwo Adu Asare the incumbent MP for the Adentan constituency lost his seat to Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, whilst Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye unseated Jonathan Nii Tackie Komme in the Odododiodoo primaries.
In Ningo Prampram, the incumbent MP Enoch Teye Mensah retained his seat. Incumbent MPs Alfred K. Agbesi, Nii Armah Ashiettey and Theophilus Tetteh Chaie Klottey, Nii Amasah Namoale, Fredric Fritz Baffour won their respective seats in Ashaiman, Klottey Korle, Ablekuma Central, La Dadekotopon and Ablekuma South respectively.
