CPP strategizes for election 2012

The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) is strategizing to make an impact in the forth coming general elections. The leadership of the party has been meeting in Accra to ensure that the party positions itself better after the exit of its 2008 presidential candidate, Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum.
The Communications Director of the party, Nii Armah Akomfrah, in an interview with e.tv Ghana news described the party as a brand that has and will continue to impact on the lives of Ghanaians.
“We have a future role to play in the development of this country. The party is moving on and is strategizing on how it is going to win the next election,” he said.
The leadership of the Convention Peoples Party hopes to make it more attractive to the youth and ensure grassroots participation.
According to Nii Armah Akomfrah, a low level campaign aimed at raising the party’s visibility and recruiting more people in the party has began in the various constituencies. He says financial resources have been made available to the constituencies to help them mobilize at the polling station level. He says a feedback mechanism has also been set in place to help the party monitor its strengths are in the various constituencies
