“I am Ghana’s Obama”-Hasan Ayariga
The People’s National Convention’s (PNC) aspiring presidential candidate, Hasan Ayariga, has described himself as Ghana’s Obama whose vision is to bring transformational change among Ghanaians.
The 40-year-old business entrepreneur says he is ready to carry “Ghana’s troubles.”
Speaking on e.tv Ghana’s Awake, Hasan Ayariga noted that, leadership all over the world had taken a different dimension and for that matter, his style of leadership would involve the youth, whom according to him, were very brilliant and intelligent.
He, however, expressed disappointment in the current government’s leadership style, saying, “Government has failed the Ghanaian youth of today.”
“The current government has involved less than two per cent of the youth. Therefore, where has the rest of the 90 per cent gone,” he lamented.
According to him, a nation could only be built on “common sense”. “We have to define who a Ghanaian is in order to transform them and get the needed development.”
Touching on the preparedness of the PNC for the November 25 congress, Hasan Ayariga said the PNC was ever ready for the date.
He, however, noted that one of the major challenges facing the party was its inability to raise enough money for the congress due to its unattractiveness.
Hasan Ayariga was also optimistic that he could out play Dr Edward Mahamah. He disclosed that, his style of campaigning was to move from house to house in a bid to get the youth to rally behind the PNC.
He also gave credit to Dr Mahamah for his leadership, saying that, “he has done his best but he has exhausted his leadership skills and therefore has to give the mantle to the younger generation.”
