NPP supporters threaten to go naked
Nsawam, Feb. 20, 2012
Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Nsawam-Aburi constituency have threatened to hit the streets naked in a massive demonstration against the government if O.B Amoah is not released from Police custody.
According to the supporters who are mostly women, O.B. Amoah has done nothing foul in relation to the judgement debt scandal and so they see no reason why the MP for the constituency, O.B Amoah should be detained for that long.
They are therefore calling for an immediate release before they hit the streets on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 to demonstrate without any clothes.
“If Woyome was given the whole amount and he is being tried, then I see no reason why he (O.B Amoah) should be in Police custody for this long.” One supporter said.
According to the sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party, the president, John Evans Atta Mills, has up to 48 hours to order for the release of the former Deputy Minister of Education and Sports before they storm the streets naked.
It will be recalled that the former Deputy Minister was arrested by Police officials on Sunday night around 9pm to answer questions in relation to the Woyome saga.
O.B. Amoah is the fifth to be called for questioning to unravel the judgement debt saga that has rocked the nation back and forth for such a long while.
