Daughters usher Ghanaians into the new year with gospel explosion

Gospel  music trio, Daughters of  Glorious Jesus on  Sunday January 1, 2012, gave  a rather fantastic opening to  the new year when they left their fans standing for  close to an  hour  singing   and   dancing  to  selections of their  hit  songs.

Despite what could be termed as a punishment to gospel music lovers and fanatics of the trio and the late start of the show which was held at the Accra International Conference Centre, it was a  packed show in terms of content and patronage

The show brought guest artistes in  the  likes of   Nii Okai, Stella Seal, Tagoe Sisters, OJ and  Amy Newman to celebrate the joy of the “Daughters”. Almost like the Legends and Legacy show which celebrated legendary musician, Daddy Lumba, the guest artistes also sang some song selections of the trio before singing theirs.

For close to an hour the audience seemed to be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit as they sang along with the musicians.

One session of the show which has not been done by most event organisers was the video documentary of the daughters embarking on their social responsibility programme. They were captured drilling some boreholes for some schools in parts of the region.
