2011: A year of entertaining events
The year 2011 witnessed a lot of event organisers bringing their game on as the list of events in Ghana increased significantly.
Ghana meets Naija was one of the biggest shows in the country as artistes from both Ghana and Nigeria performed on one stage on one night. Later on, hip hop stars Fabulous, Mario and Chantelle by kind courtesy 233 connect was brought down to Ghana to put up a performance which by all standards went pretty well.
Vodafone live in Ghana saw Trey Songs and dBanj perform live on stage among a host of other artistes. Lynx entertainment also launched their “Back to Zero” album including the track “yena ra ya sa’se ni” which is the theme song for the world bank.
Tagoe sisters also had a show to mark their 30th anniversary in music with other gospel artistes, coming on to perform as well. Redlipsticks, the only all female concert which had only female artistes on the bill came off this year as well.

The 4syte Music Video Awards and the Hugh Masekela show which took place on the same day were also a blast. Just a few weeks to Christmas, Yfm’s Loud in Gh took place as schedule at the Dome of the International Conference Centre.
For beauty pageants, Miss Tourism Ghana selected a new queen for this year and so did Miss Malaika Ghana which was rather on a controversial note. Miss Ghana, due to certain transitions maintained last year’s queen until another one will be organised next year.
