John Dumelo launches "J.MELO" clothing line
Actor John Dumelo launched his fashion range, J.MELO on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at the Golden Tulip Hotel. The range includes; a clothing line (Boxer shorts, men shirts and ladies’ bags), a jewelry line (Gold, diamond, silver and beads) and ladies’ wig all under the brand name J.MELO.
The show started with a fashion show with beautiful models exhibiting the various types of jewelry including rings, necklaces, bangles etc. The wig collection and African wear range of clothes for both sexes. John Dumelo himself modeled with his special African wear shirt and also showed off his J.MELO boxer shorts.
Several celebrities including; Nadia Buari, Juliet Ibrahim, Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah, Prince David Osei, Frank Artus, comedian Funny Face Benson, Beverly Afaglo, Eddie Nettey, Martha Ankomah, TV Presenter Joselyn Dumas, Selassie Ibrahim, Yvonne Okoro, actor Senanu Gbedawu, singer Becca, Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot among other were there to support him.
Even though the show emceed by TV3’s Nana Aba Anamoah looked quit informal, comedian Funny Face who was not really billed to perform changed the atmosphere with his rip cracking jokes and comic catwalk with Nana Aba.
In an exclusive interview with Peacefmonline.com after the show, John said he intends to rock shoulders with the like of Louis Vuitton, Versace, Sean John, Roca Wear, Dior and other international fashion designers in the near future.
He revealed that the next launch of the J.MELO Fashion range will be in New York, followed by a launch in Los Angeles, London, Paris, China, Lagos and South Africa. The 4Play actor told Peacefmonline.com that J.MELO shops will be opened in all the above listed cities all over the world.
In Ghana, John Dumelo disclosed that first of the numerous J.MELO shops, will be opened at East Legon in January 2012. Special guests on the evening was a crew from the Vogue Magazine who flew to Ghana to support John and to also have an inclusive interview and photo shoot with the handsome actor which is expected to appear in subsequent editions of the world acclaimed fashion magazine.
John Dumelo said 20% of all revenue from the sales of his J.MELO fashion range will be used for various charity projects all over the country.
