MUSIGA launches peace and tolerance campaign

As part  of  stringent  efforts for  their  voice to be  heard , the Musicians  Union of Ghana, led by Bice Osei kufuor (Obour) has launched the “MUSIGA Campaign for  Peace, Unity and  Tolerance  for Election 2012 and Beyond”.

The  event  which  took place at the Alisa Hotel on Thursday was attended  by musicians,  politicians from  various  political parties, pressure groups, representatives of UNESCO and  other  youth groups who are  willing to promote peace and tolerance.

Delivering his speech, MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kufuor disclosed that the event would take place on November 16, which marks the International Day of Tolerance.

The event will start with a walk from the Independence Square to parliament to present a petition to parliament, after which a deliberation will be held with President John Eva Atta Mills at the Castle, Osu.

At the launch, representatives of the various political parties and supporting institutions were given the platform to show their support to the cause.
