UNESCO and UG organise peace concert

The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in collaboration with the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana have organized a peace concert using Michael Jackson’s dance and music as the theme.

The aim of the concert was to propagate the awareness of peace among the youth. Michael Jackson was chosen as the icon because he stood for peace, which was translated in some of his songs.

The students put up a really impressive dance concert which lasted hours because they performed many of MJ’s hit songs including the famous thriller.

It is an undeniable fact that the University of Ghana’s School of Performing Arts is doing a great job in the promotion of theatre arts and performances in Ghana.
