Hiplife artiste weeps on set
Accra, Feb. 22, 2012
Yaw Adjei Nelso, known in hiplife circles as A J Nelson lost control of his emotions when he recounted events of his past.
The Same Girl artiste could not help but shed tears on e.tv Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show when he recalled some painful memories during his childhood days.
Asked how growing up was like for him as a child, AJ said, “talking about issues like that only brings tears to my eyes.”
However, in an attempt to satisfy viewers, host Flexy put AJ on the spot which eventually led to the hiplife artiste’s emotional crack.
This was as a result of a painful experience he encountered with his uncle (with whom he lived with) who sent him packing from his house at about 12 midnight.
He, however, recovered from sharing his soar experience when he gave a few lines from his latest single, Faith, featuring Jay Ghartey.
AJ’s first step into the limelight was when he featured a welcome song for President Obama during his visit to Ghana in 2009.
Since then he has proved to be a force to reckon with. In September 2010, AJ released his single, Same Girl, which featured Kwabena Marfia and is yet to release his album in August this year.
