Chris Brown and Rihanna to perform at Grammys.

Los Angeles is getting ready for another important event. A new edition of the Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 12 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Chris Brown and Rihanna are two of the many artists who will perform at this year’s edition of the Grammys.

Back in 2009, the organization of the music event was disturbed by the unexpected argument between Chris Brown and his then girlfriend, Rihanna. The rapper was accused and later on, arrested for physically assaulting the 24-year-old singer. As a result of the incident, both performers pulled out of their Grammy Awards 2009 performances.

Despite his recent career derailment, the news that Chris Brown will perform on Sunday was well-received by fans. Rihanna will also walk on stage together with other performers like Foo Fighters, Lil Wayne, David Guetta and deadmau 5.

The fact that the two have agreed to show up at the same show has fuelled some rumors about Chris Brown and Rihanna secretly dating again. Brown’s representatives meanwhile have denied the rumor.

Brown has three nominations at the Sunday gala. One of them is for the category best R&B singer, a nomination he obtained for his album “F.A.M.E.”.Rihanna, on the other hand, obtained four nominations due to her new album “Loud”. The 24-year-old star will perform with Coldplay at the Sunday event.

Unlike Brown’s career which was negatively affected by the past events in his love life, Rihanna is increasingly more popular among fans. “Man Down” and “Love The Way You Lie” are two of her songs that were critically acclaimed by the public because they deal with similar love issues.

After publicly apologizing for assaulting Rihanna, Chris Brown was sentenced to five years of probation, six months of community service and anger management counseling. Recent speculations have surfaced when Brown and Rihanna were spotted in the same nightclub in Los Angeles. In addition, the two posted a series of cryptic messages on Twitter following their night out, but no one confirmed that the two are dating again.
