KNUST to introduce entrepreneurship studies
The Kwame Nkrumah Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), is planning to make the study of entrepreneurship compulsory at the university to equip students with business and managerial skills.
The Head of the Sculpture and Painting Department of the university, Kwaku Boafo Kissiedu, announced this at the closing session of a four-week interactive workshop in Kumasi organised by the Faculty and the Kolding School of Design in Denmark, in Kumasi.
He said the university is liaising with the National Board for Small-Scale Industries and the KNUST School of Business to roll out training programmes in entrepreneurship.
The event brought together about 100 participants, from the university and the School of Design, who undertook common practical projects in sculpture and industrial design, painting and illustration, communication design through posters, videos and photographs.
