MP for Subin donates biogas plant to AMASS

Isaac OseiSubin, Feb. 21, 2012

Member of Parliament for Subin in the Ashanti Region, Isaac Osei has donated a biogas plant to the T. I. Ahmadiya Senior High School (AMASS).

The biogas plant is expected to be used by the school’s pantry in the occasion of a shortage of gas.

The donation forms part of the MPs commitment to promote teaching and learning in his constituency.

The MP also donated boreholes to the school to reduce the burden put on students and the school authorities anytime the school was struck by water shortage.

AMASS was established some 77 years ago by a Muslim organization, the Ahmadiya Movement in Islam, now the Ahmadiya Muslim Mission.

The school has always had its own challenges, water, inadequate classrooms, poor state of dormitories, learning and teaching materials are just a few of their numerous problems.

The donations by Isaac Osei, therefore, come as a source of relief to the school as both students and school authorities could not hide their joy with the new development.
