CUC's licence will not be withdrawn - NAB
The National Accreditation Board (NAB) says the Central University College (CUC) will not face any sanctions despite its breach of contract.
For flouting NAB’s rules on student admissions, the school could have had its licence withdrawn and closed down.
Head of Administration and Public Relations at NAB, Rihard Adjei, in an interview with e.tv Ghana news said the board was taking it easy on CUC because such a violation had never occurred since private universities began operating in the country.
The admission of nearly seven hundred students has been withdrawn because they failed to satisfy admission conditions set by the CUC.
But the CUC is receiving the flack for not ensuring that the students were dully qualified before granting them admission.
The students would have to undertake a remedial and improve on their grades before resuming studies at the CUC.
