Glo finally launches in Accra
After much anticipation and waiting, Globacom telecommunications, also known as Glo has finally been launched in Accra. The launch starts with the commencement of the “Reserve your Number Campaign.”
The campaign will enable up to one million users in Ghana to reserve their preferred number on the Glo mobile network. The commencement will help create direct or indirect employment and business opportunities across the country.
Globacom Limited, one of Africa’s fastest growing telecommunication acquired its operating license for business in Ghana in 2008. The company for the past three years has pursued a rigorous programme of developing a world class telecommunications service which emphases reliability, efficiency and affordability for the majority Ghanaians.
According to the Chief Operating Officer, George Andah, Glo mobile Ghana is providing the general public with a special Glo SMS –based platform which will enable Ghanaians to reserve their preferred numbers on the Glo mobile network’s 023 number series.
With such a formidable technological foundation, Mr Andah assured the people of Ghana
about the quality and reliability of the network. Their operation will help in activating the integrated telecommunication system which aims to generate a chain of direct and indirect employment and business opportunities throughout the country.
He added that, in the next couple of weeks, the company will fully roll out the different activities of the launch of Glo mobile Ghana.
