Inflation drops insignificantly
Inflation rate for November has dropped marginally to 8. 55% as against 8. 56% recorded in October this year.
According to Government Statistician, Dr Grace Bediako, thiis represents an insignificant decline of 0. 46%.
Dr Grace Bediako made the announcement on Wednesday and said the November rate can almost be considered the same as that of October.
Inflation rate has remained at a single digit since June 2010. Within the last year the rate has ranged between 9. 08% and 8. 56%.
Speaking in an interview with Citi fm's Business News, Dr. Bediako said the upward pressures on prices usually experienced in December is likely to lead to an increase in next month’s inflation rate.
