Servair launches operations in Ghana
Servair, a leading French caterer and cleaning services provider has launched its operations in Ghana.
Managing Director of the Kotoka International Airport, Doreen Owusu Fianko says as the airport continues to improve its services and make traveling from this end of the world more better, Servair’s decision to choose KIA as a preferred airport to do business is timely.
As Ghana’s aviation sector is undergoing tremendous growth, recording an increase in frequencies of airlines, operating into Ghana, new carriers are also finding the nation, a convenient business place to expand their operations.
According to the Ghana Airports Company Limited, the number of scheduled and non-scheduled carriers flying in and out of Ghana has doubled from 15 to thirty eight in 2011. With the increase in flights comes the need for quality catering on board the flights. And this is what Servair, the leading French Airline catering and cleaning company has set out to execute in Ghana.
The Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited, Doreen Owusu Fianko stressed that for the aviation sector in Ghana to live up to international competition and growth, there is the need for heavy investment.
Commissioning the Servair’s operational center in Accra, a Member of Parlaiment, Mr. George Kuntu Blankson said the domestic air transport services has seen an increase in flights, resulting in the reduction of domestic air fares.
